If you have a WordPress blog, chances are you would have known that your WordPress blog’s default URLs consist of question marks and numbers in them. Now, the ways these URLs are structured, they are not really that search engine friendly and so you need to do some customization in order to make them prettier and easier for the search engines to pick up.

In order to change your URL to be more search engine friendly, there is a way to do it inside your WordPress admin control panel. Under the toolbar section, there is an option menu and under the option menu there’s a tab called “Permalinks”. Click on that and you will be able to change all your URLs there.

Here’s a screenshot.

Under the common options, select the custom option and put this /%postname%/ into the box provided. This is the command to make your URLs more search engine friendly and prettier.

Isn’t that easy! :)
