Article marketing is one of the best ways to drive traffic to your website. In the past, articles are not commonly used but times are changing as more people are using articles to drive massive amount of traffic to their web sites. Although article marketing has been around for a very long time, not many people used article marketing to drive traffic to their web sites as many people are not comfortable in writing their own quality articles. This can be easily solved by outsourcing the article writing part to the professionals. Well, this post is not going to talk about outsourcing, that’s another topic for next time. In this post, I’m going to offer some tips that you can used to drive more traffic to your web site.

First, understand quantity is more important than quality. Your articles do not need to be very outstanding and of very good quality, what you need is to write many articles of decent quality. In the same time you take to write a quality article, you would have created a half dozen or more decent quality articles. The more articles that you have out there, the better and higher chance your sites will get ranked in the search engines and the more exposure the articles will get for your web sites.

Next, you need to understand the key elements of writing an article that will rank well in the search engine besides good quality content. Keyword density is very important but don’t overdo it. Original and fresh content is equally important. If you are outsourcing the article writing part, please ensure and check your articles for authenticity. Ensure that all the articles are original content and not rehash from elsewhere. Always check for grammar and typo errors.

Once your articles are ready to go, you can submit them to article directories where your articles will get pick up by search engines. Many article directories will allow you to put a resource box at the end of your articles and you can put a link back to your web site. The resource box is very important and the link that you put in is vital to directing traffic back to your web site. Web site owners will go to these article directories and if they pick up your article and post it anywhere they must leave your resource box intact. This means more traffic as you are feeding off their web site traffic with that article. Articles can generate traffic so many different ways it’s a win-win situation for you.

There are many article directories out there and for me, I would prefer to submit to as many article directories as possible. Submitting articles to directories can be very time consuming but you can save precious time by using article submitters or paid article submission services. Although there are some free article submitters out there, I would advise you to go for a paid article submitter. I have not used any article submission service before but I’m currently using a very good article submitter called “Article Post Robot”. You can check out this article submitter here.

Remember to vary and change the content of each article that you submit as Google will penalize duplicate content. You can easily overcome this problem by using a content rewriter program which can convert a single article into many different versions which will let you pass through Google’s duplicate content penalty. You can also submit your articles to Ezine publishers. As Ezine publishers are always on the lookout for quality articles and submitting your articles to them is another good idea to drive traffic to your site.

As you can see, the more articles you submit to article directories and Ezine publishers, the more traffic article marketing will bring you. Article marketing is a simple and low cost way to drive traffic to your site. If you not confident in your own writing ability or simply don’t want to write your own articles, you can outsource it out for around 5-10 dollars an article. If you outsource in bulk the cost can be a lot less.

No matter which way you choose to get your articles, article marketing is a good way to direct traffic to your web site. Besides, articles for the most part don’t require a lot of time and your rewards can come fairly quickly which is why more and more people are using articles to promote their business and themselves.
