Internet marketing refers to the marketing of products and services over the internet. Internet marketing is gaining popularity among individuals and small business as a way to market and promote their products and services. There are many benefits for a business or individual to leverage on the internet to market their products and services.

Firstly, as internet access is cheap and readily available, more and more people have access to the internet. As a result, individuals and businesses have access to a large and global base of customers. Local businesses in the past will be hard pressed to market their products and services pass their locality, however the appearance of the internet change all those factors that make it hard for business to bypass their local customer base.

Finding a profitable niche to target is something that proves to be very elusive for many new internet marketers. Most new internet marketers will most likely go to the first niche that they come into contact with especially the “Make Money Online” niche. While there is no denying the “Make Money Online” niche is a very profitable and lucrative market, it is also the most competitive and hard market to break into. Thus for “newbies”, it is not advisable to go into the “Make Money Online” niche till you have some experience under your belt.

If that is the case, how are you as a “newbie” going to find some niches to target?

While there are many ways you can research and find profitable niches, there are some obvious places or particular sites that you can go to and find these niches. I have compiled a list of good sites or sources which you can find the latest trends and hottest niches on the market.

1. Amazon
2. Clickbank
3. Commission Junction
4. Ebay Pulse
5. PayDotCom
6. Google Zeitgeist

While the list is by no means comprehensive, it should give you a good idea what are the latest trends and which niches are profitable. Finding a profitable niche is only a start, a lot of other factors will come into play before you can make good money off your chosen niche.

4 Tips For Selecting A Niche

One of the reasons that people failed to make money online is because they failed to identify the correct niche to target. While some people have no problems with these, I believe a lot of beginners like me when I first started out would appreciate getting some tips to help them select a niche in the early stages. I have identified some tips which you can used to identify a suitable niche to start off with and hopefully in the process save you loads of time and headaches. :)

1) A niche that you have a interest in
There are actually two schools of thoughts on this point. Many people have repeatedly pointed out that you must select a niche that you have a genuine interest in; otherwise you may have a hard time sustaining the efforts and time you are going to put into the business. While I tend to agree with this point of view, especially for those of you who are new to online business, I have no doubt once you have pass through the initial or beginner phase, any market as long as they are lucrative will be a viable option even though that particular niche may not be to your liking or personal interest. At the end of the day, the important thing is to have money lining up your pocket. :)

2) A niche that lead on to a bigger niche or niches
This is a point that you have to take into serious consideration when selecting your niche. As a marketer, make sure that you enter into a niche knowing that you can expand out to other related niches in the near future. Otherwise, you may find your constraint by what you can offer to your customers in the future. Take note of point 4 below as it is somehow similar in nature although this point generally refers to the niche as a whole.

3) A niche that is used to spending money
Now, this is a point that you have to be really careful of. Imagine having conquered your niche in terms of market share of in traffic volume and search engine positioning. But you find yourself unable to sell and present much offers to your visitors or list because the niche you are targeting are generally freebie seekers or not used to buying and spending. This is definitely some scenario that you may not want even though there are many other methods of monetizing your website if you have a large traffic volume.

4) A niche that you can offer a variety of offers to
If you select a niche that you can only present a couple of offers and that’s it, you are limiting your income potential. Always look for a niche that you can offer multiple offers. However if you niche is part of a bigger niche or niches, you can always choose to start off and dominate your niche first before moving off to related niches.

I hope the tips above can get you started off on a good note. There are probably some other factors involved in selecting a niche to enter but for me these few points above are good enough indicators that a particular niche is lucrative.

Using PLR Materials To Create Your Own Products

Using PLR materials to produce an entirely new product is not new. In fact, most internet marketers in one way or another would use other people’s products to create a better product. However, a lot of online marketers misunderstood the concept of using PLR materials or simply put it, they don’t care at all. Most of the time, these online marketers, instead of using PLR materials to create a superior product, opt to rehash the same thing or worse, simply change the title and cover design to give an appearance of a new product and then release it to the market.

If you are the buyer, you will obviously feel shortchanged and definitely not going to buy from that particular marketer again. This is something that happens on a very regular basic and if you have been online for a period of time, you will find a lot of products that you have bought will be in some way or another similar in context and content. I know that because I have purchase products that are simply rehash materials from another previous product. While this maybe a very profitable way of generating a good amount of cash, it does leave a sour taste in the mouth for consumers and definitely will not do your reputation any good at all.

Choosing A Niche To Target

When I first started my forays into online opportunities, I was told time and time again when starting out to focus on something that you like and have a passion for. This is the same “advice” almost every guru or everyone online has been harping about. While this advice is not entirely misguided and to a certain extent, I still believe this is still partly correct, a lot depends on which side of the fence are you on.

Let me explain it more clearly.

We are all into online opportunities for one single big reason and that is to make money. Some just want a couple of hundreds extra a month to pay the bills, others are it for their passion and to make some money out of their passion and most of us want to create a business that can last and give us a passive income for life.

What To look Out For In A Paid Membership

There are tons of membership sites out there that promised you the sky before you join but when it comes to the crunch, many fails to delivery. Personally for me, I have joined a couple of membership sites but so far I have been lucky and find great value in these sites that I have joined. But for many people it may be a different case.

You may have been tempt by the sales letter that promised you get rich fast methods or some other means that will gives you easy money in return of just a small amount of money per month. Or you may have been tempted by vast amount of products that you can sell every month. But at the very end of the day if you do not take any action at all, all the PLR, MMR, MR stuff and information you acquired are only going to be keep inside your hard disk.

Before I join any membership site, I make it a point to do some serious research before making the final decision. It is a heavy commitment to sign up for anything on monthly recurring basics. Although you can choose to cancel your subscription anytime, I don’t take this decision too lightly unless the membership really cannot delivers what it promised.
