Program Reviews: Text Link Ads

Posted by Albert at 5th November, 2007

The recent uproar over the Page Rank update has not dampened my enthusiasm for Text Links Ads. While some have actually condemned Google’s hypocrisy in penalizing those who are selling links blatantly, I see no wrong in Google doing that. Google is just trying to protect their own advertising program and if you are in their shoes, what would you do. Do you expect yourself to sit down quietly while your competitors are slowly biting off your market share?

I have no doubt that selling links remains one of the best ways to monetize your site and I will have no qualms about selling links on my sites. Unless you are making chunks of money through Google Adsense, Text Link Ads remains a great monetization program for those struggling to make decent money off Google Adsense.

Text Link Ads basically is an advertising network that helps you sell text links which offers advertisers traffic and search engine benefits. The links will be placed on your site on a month by month basic. The good thing about how much you can make or your link price is set by Text Link Ads using their own pricing algorithm which is based on your traffic, Alexa ranking, Google PageRank, number of RSS subscribers, and other factors. So this means that even though your Page Rank may be affected, it won’t make a big dent in your text link revenue. :)

Text Links Ads also have an affiliate program whereby you get $25 for every advertiser or publisher that you refer into their program. If you have not signed up yet, you can sign up for Text Link Ads here.
