Recently, one of my close friends asked me how to go about making money online. To cut the long story short, this is not the first time he asked me about making money online. In fact I lost count of the number of times I have discussed with him about real people like me making a comfortable income online besides holding on to a routine job. The extra couple of thousands a month do make wonders to your personal life, if you ask me.

The same thing applies to all of my close friends whom I have discussed this topic before.  The opportunities to make money online are real but sadly enough while all of them are excited and keep asking me about it, none take any concrete actions towards making money online. While I may not be the best person around, I offered to guide them along as long as they are willing to learn. So far, none has come back to me for further information on how to make money online. It is really a pity because if I have someone who offers to guide me along, I will definitely jump at the chance.

Now back to my friend who is currently in a unique situation. He has recently become a father and as you know, bringing up a baby is not easy. Besides the financial commitments, you also need to put in a lot of love, care, time and effort to ensure your child is being brought up nicely.  Finally, he decides to take some action and ask me to guide him along.  I think it got to do with him being a father and his realization that he needs to make more money.

Being a father of two young children myself, I am very aware of the fact that bringing up a child is not easy. The financial commitments are far too heavy for anyone to depend on having one stream of income. With current economic conditions veering towards restructuring and cost cutting measures, it is only a matter of time before the majority of us are made redundant by our company.

I realize that ever since the day I was out in the work force. I know I can’t depend on a job for life and to do that I need to start my own business and become my own boss. In a way, I am a reverse control freak; I do not like to be control by people at all. I tried all sorts of things, indulging in many business opportunities. I made good money, I lose a lot of money, I failed a lot and I learn a lot! That is a fact of life, the more you failed, and the better you are equip for success. Remember there is this Chinese proverb which directly translates to “Failures Is the Mother of All Success”. Remember it well and it could be the foundation for your future successes!

Now before I end today’s rambling, I hope you my dear friend and if you are reading this. Please really follow through on what you are doing right now and take concrete actions.
