This is the beginning of a series of posts on “Money Making Models” that you can work on to make money online as a internet entrepreneur.

Every post will have an overview of a particular business model and how you can profit from it.

Some of these models has worked for me with varying degrees of successes. Every one of them does works, but the key to achieving what you desired; be it a couple of hundreds or a full time income is that you have to work on it.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate marketing is one of best model to get started on making money online. Affiliate marketing is basically getting commissions (small fees) for recommending or referring other businesses’ products or services.

Why is affiliate marketing one of the best money making models around?

1. Payment processing is handled by the products or services merchants.
2. Since payment is being handled by the merchants, administrative tasks such as refunds or returns are non-existent.
3. No inventory expenses as you are referring other people’s products or services.

Affiliate marketing can be further divided into 2 models:

1. Pay-Per-Sale
When a customer purchases something through your recommendation or referral, you will be paid a commission for the sale made.

2. Pay-Per-Lead
When a customer fills up a form providing his or her contact information (lead), you will be paid a referral fee for the form filled.

The keys in making good money with affiliate marketing is to be selective on the type of products or services you promote and making sure you have good marketing plans in place to attract traffic.
