Finding a profitable niche to target is something that proves to be very elusive for many new internet marketers. Most new internet marketers will most likely go to the first niche that they come into contact with especially the “Make Money Online” niche. While there is no denying the “Make Money Online” niche is a very profitable and lucrative market, it is also the most competitive and hard market to break into. Thus for “newbies”, it is not advisable to go into the “Make Money Online” niche till you have some experience under your belt.

If that is the case, how are you as a “newbie” going to find some niches to target?

While there are many ways you can research and find profitable niches, there are some obvious places or particular sites that you can go to and find these niches. I have compiled a list of good sites or sources which you can find the latest trends and hottest niches on the market.

1.	Amazon
2.	Clickbank
3.	Commission Junction
4.	Ebay Pulse
5.	PayDotCom
6.	Google Zeitgeist

While the list is by no means comprehensive, it should give you a good idea what are the latest trends and which niches are profitable. Finding a profitable niche is only a start, a lot of other factors will come into play before you can make good money off your chosen niche.

One of the reasons that people failed to make money online is because they failed to identify the correct niche to target. While some people have no problems with these, I believe a lot of beginners like me when I first started out would appreciate getting some tips to help them select a niche in the early stages. I have identified some tips which you can used to identify a suitable niche to start off with and hopefully in the process save you loads of time and headaches.

1)	A niche that you have a interest in
There are actually two schools of thoughts on this point. Many people have repeatedly pointed out that you must select a niche that you have a genuine interest in; otherwise you may have a hard time sustaining the efforts and time you are going to put into the business. While I tend to agree with this point of view, especially for those of you who are new to online business, I have no doubt once you have pass through the initial or beginner phase, any market as long as they are lucrative will be a viable option even though that particular niche may not be to your liking or personal interest. At the end of the day, the important thing is to have money lining up your pocket.

2)	A niche that lead on to a bigger niche or niches
This is a point that you have to take into serious consideration when selecting your niche. As a marketer, make sure that you enter into a niche knowing that you can expand out to other related niches in the near future. Otherwise, you may find your constraint by what you can offer to your customers in the future. Take note of point 4 below as it is somehow similar in nature although this point generally refers to the niche as a whole.

3)	A niche that is used to spending money
Now, this is a point that you have to be really careful of. Imagine having conquered your niche in terms of market share of in traffic volume and search engine positioning. But you find yourself unable to sell and present much offers to your visitors or list because the niche you are targeting are generally freebie seekers or not used to buying and spending. This is definitely some scenario that you may not want even though there are many other methods of monetizing your website if you have a large traffic volume.

4)	A niche that you can offer a variety of offers to
If you select a niche that you can only present a couple of offers and that’s it, you are limiting your income potential. Always look for a niche that you can offer multiple offers. However if you niche is part of a bigger niche or niches, you can always choose to start off and dominate your niche first before moving off to related niches.

I hope the tips above can get you started off on a good note. There are probably some other factors involved in selecting a niche to enter but for me these few points above are good enough indicators that a particular niche is lucrative.

When I first started my forays into online opportunities, I was told time and time again when starting out to focus on something that you like and have a passion for. This is the same “advice” almost every guru or everyone online has been harping about. While this advice is not entirely misguided and to a certain extent, I still believe this is still partly correct, a lot depends on which side of the fence are you on.

Let me explain it more clearly.

We are all into online opportunities for one single big reason and that is to make money. Some just want a couple of hundreds extra a month to pay the bills, others are it for their passion and to make some money out of their passion and most of us want to create a business that can last and give us a passive income for life.

And guess what? To really make good money, select a niche that is already proven to be a money spinner. Choose a niche that has ready buyers or has a history of people buying products and services to enter. In other words, choose a niche that you can make money from.

If you select and enter a niche that you have a passion for but this is not a niche which has ready buyers, then you are seriously wasting your time and effort. Many new internet marketers became disillusioned and gave up because of this and as a result those who have not taste success will become skeptical about online opportunities in the future and a lot of times, these people will tend to bad mouth online opportunities.

Now this is something I am very particular about as I have friends who are always in such self denial state. Whenever they meet with failures, they tend to blame everyone and everything else except themselves. Successful people are responsible for their own achievements and that includes all the successes and failures that they have met. By not accepting responsibilities for their own failures, they are denying themselves of the chance to learn and grow from the experiences leading them back to the same starting point again and again.

Remember, successes and failures are all dependent on you and you alone. No one is responsible for your failures to achieve results that you want. If you do not achieve success now, that does not mean that you will not be able to achieve success at a later date. For me, I treated each failure as not a failure but a discovery to find out that this particular method or way do not work and enable me to be one step closer to my success.

That is why I’m not very comfortable about regarding the passion “advice” dished out by so many people and yes that includes me! From my own experiences, rather than going for something you like and have a passion for, I have far better results entering niche markets that has ready and willing buyers.

If you are one of those who are into online opportunities just to make a couple of hundreds a month or those who are looking to make money out of their passions or hobbies, then selecting something you like is definitely a better choice for you in the long run.

On a final note, it would depend on what your online objectives and financial objectives are. If you are seriously into online opportunities to create a business, then selecting a niche that is apparently a proven money spinner will give you a good head start to being with.

Well almost, you still have to content with all the research you need to do, study competition, come out with innovative ideas to market your website, and so on. The list is endless but at the very least, if you are reading this blog you are already starting on the right track.

Using newsletter is one of the best ways you can use to keep in contact with your customers. As you probably know, there are thousands of newsletters out there and how do you actually compete for attention and more subscribers. There are many ways that you can differentiate your newsletter from your competitors and you can do that using the tips below.

Using Short Paragraphs

Research has shown that short paragraphs work best with people as they have less and less time to read newsletters. Bullet points are extremely important as well as it lets the readers get to the content’s highlights a lot quicker than they normally would. Make sure there is enough room for your readers to read your newsletter. In other words, do not squeeze or pack all information into a tiny space. Space them out so that it is easier on the eyes. Another thing is to keep your articles or information and information short and straight to the point. By having only important and relevant information, it will actually encourage your readers to read your newsletter.

Check for Errors

Check your newsletters for typo errors or spelling mistakes before sending them out. Another important thing to take note is to make sure your links are all clickable. By making sure that your newsletter are errors free, you will be projecting a good and professional image to your readers which his extremely important in the online industry.

Don’t go overboard with links

Do not pepper your newsletter with links all over the place. A link each at the top and bottom will be good enough. If you are promoting affiliate products in your newsletter, try to minimize the links to one or two.

Don’t go overboard with pictures

A couple of picture here and there in your newsletter will be good as these pictures can break the monotony a newsletter full of words. But don’t try to be a smart and overdo it. An email with too many pictures may have a hard time getting through the email filters. Always send your newsletter to yourself first to see the final product. This will have to prevent unnecessary errors and give you one last chance to correct them.

As you can see, by following these simple tips, it will help make your newsletter the best it can be. Newsletters can be a great promotional tool for your business if you do it right. If not, it can actually hurt your business a lot. People will shy away from you if the newsletter isn’t up to par. Follow these tips and you will be safe.

Just a quick reminder to those who are still indecisive about exploring online money making opportunities, make it a point to start now. Not tomorrow! Not next week! But right now!

Yes, you are not reading anything wrong here.

When you start to procrastinate and tell yourself you are going to do it later, it will never come. It is human nature and this is the cause of why so many people fail to achieve what they want in life. So make it a habit this year to work on something immediately as soon as you decide on it. Remember time is money!

It is time of the year again to look back at what I have been doing for the past year. Generally, a lot of people would base their achievements on how much they have earned. However, I do feel that it is more important to base your achievements on how much you have had learn and understand during the past year instead. You may not agree on this but I personally feel personal development and the learning process is more important to monetary terms.

Looking back in retrospect, I have to thanks my mentor for feeding me vast amount of experiences, knowledge and skills in return for nothing. I have grown so much and this is partly due to his unselfishness in sharing all that he knew without withholding back anything. His actions have encouraged me to share what I have learnt over the years with others who are willing to learn as well.

This is something that he had ingrained in me and this should be something that you should also take note of. By sharing your knowledge, experiences and skills with others, you are actually enforcing what you have learnt and experienced so far and this bodes well for not only your personal reputation but also enhance and strengthen your knowledge, experiences and skills.

Besides experiencing a high level of personal growth and development, the financial side of things can never be better. Opportunities both offline and online have given me more projects that I can barely handle but this is something I will gladly do again.

The only blotch is my personal health which is right at the very end of things. Due to a lack of exercise, lack of sleep, over working and a poor diet, I have been down with a variety of sickness which can stretch for weeks with no end in sight. This is something I seriously have to look into for the coming year. Well, that is all for now and I will be looking at coming up with some New Year’s resolutions for the coming year.

Wish everyone a great and happy New Year! Cheers!

Although the signs are there as early as months back, it is hard to believe a wonder concept such as this have to meet such a fate.

There have been many debates on whether setting up one huge content site is better than many small sites. While the two camps are arguing the benefits and wisdom in their logic, one thing is sure, they are actually making money.

Some say having a huge site is much better for monetization in the long run. I do not disagree here; in fact they are right about having a huge site and to me it’s better business sense. The returns are better and you can focus on one thing at a time. Having many sites will distract you and make you lose focus from making sure your sites are a success. Well, I also do not disagree with that as I have been through this path and I understand there will be a limit to how much things human beings can focus on and multi-task.

Others will advocate setting up many sites. Their reasoning is very simple, imagine if each site earns you $5 a day and you have 50 sites and that equates to $250 a day. Not a bad figures by any means, multiply that by 30 days and you get $7500, an income by no means inferior to a mid level executive. In my country, that’s over 5 figures in today’s exchange rate. Also, small sites are easier and much faster to set up as compared to a huge site.

I have done an experiment on one of my sites using Google Adsense as a monetization method. The test was done over a period of 7 days and to my surprise clocked an average of $6 a day in Google Adsense earnings over that 7 days period. During my highest grossing day, I hit about $9 in earnings. What I do during that test period is just simply write an article each day and manually submit them to various social bookmarking sites. Time spent is just about an hour to two a day. My conclusion from this experiment is that it’s possible to make $5 or more from a single site each day. However, if you asked me to set up 50 sites and maintain them, well I’m not too sure about that.

The key in monetizing small sites is through automating these sites and make them run on auto pilot. But please take note that a lot of small sites are actually dependent on Google Adsense for monetization, whereas there are many more ways that you can monetize and make money from a huge site.

While I have not yet reach the stage to judge the outcome of both opinions, but my personal opinion is to go for both. While you are setting and building up one huge content site, you can also set up many small sites to supplement your income. This is survival my friend! Maybe I should start off with 10 sites or so first instead of being so greedy. Mmm! I will definitely be working on this direction in the near future!

P.S I did not mention Adsense arbitrage here as you need to spend money on PPC (Pay Per Click) to drive traffic to your site. I advocate using free methods till you are making some good money to explore other paid traffic methods.
